Henchmen :MC Assignmets # 6&7

This is the first draft of my outline based on the plot I developed for my Master class. I am still working on getting the rhythm of the story to work and right now I'm not happy with the ending. My next pass will address these issues.

MC Assignment #4

This assignment was to take one of the story ideas and make it a plot.

The original idea:
An NPC character in the shooter game Hero’s Death comes to the realization that he has to be the hero of his own story. He decides to break free from the main story line and help his fellow NPC’s to better their lives and stop supporting and falling into the trap of working for evil overloards.
Plot of the idea:
Bill an average guy who works for the Migrant corporation in security is unknowingly a “bad guy” in the shooter game Hero’s Death. While on duty at the facility he is a guard supervisor at he ends up in a fire fight where despite the odds the man who has broken in escapes. Bill is nearly mortally wounded, and this gets him thinking about his friends and family many of whom have died the same way. This leads him to the realization that he has to be the hero of his own story. Breaking free from the main story line he help his fellow NPC’s (Non Player Characters) to better their lives and stop supporting and falling into the trap of working for evil overlords.

MC Assignment #3

Hi, So my first post For this week is of the third class assignment. The assignment is to come up with three story ideas. I have two here and I am waiting for inspiration to strike for the third one.

Idea #1

Frightening monsters that are summoned into existence, but once they are here are they are irrationally angry therefore stupid. They go after everything and nine out of ten end up killing themselves. Bart is part of the bureau for control of them. Igor is a man who believes he has a device that can control the summoning of them, but there is a side effect of loss of creativity. Bart has to prove that the device is more destructive than the monsters.

Idea #2

In a near future crime is controlled by wet implants in a three strikes you’re a drone system. The first strike gets you a brain implant and under surveillance. Strike two looses you control of much of your emotion and where you go. Strike three and you no longer have higher brain function, but you can still contribute to society and take care of yourself. Indy is a girl who is unwittingly pulled into the developing criminal world where freshmen (those who have never been convicted of a crime) become the bodies for those who are more senior in the criminal world. She is emotional ignorant, but a genius. Martin is a sophomore and sees the potential in Indy. Indy has to decide if she will help topple the implant system or turn in Martin who she thinks she is in love with.

Idea #3

An NPC character in the shooter game "Hero’s Death" comes to the realization that he has to be the hero of his own story. He decides to break free from the main story line and help his fellow NPC’s to better their lives and stop supporting and falling into the trap of working for evil overlords.

Master Class

This week I am beginning a master class in writing on line with James Patterson. My first assignment is to keep my passion alive by setting a schedule and writing every day. I have set a goal of writing 1000 words a day and I will post my weekly progress every Sunday night. That will give me time to edit before posing my writing. Please feel free to comment on my posts here or PM me if you like. Thank you in advance for keeping me honest and helping me develop my craft.
